Who We Are
Serving the Pacific Northwest and beyond, MAS is dedicated to historical shipwreck documentation and public education in maritime heritage. Headquartered in Astoria Oregon, MAS was created to help document and share maritime history with the public. The Maritime Archaeological Society is a registered 501(c)3 not for profit organization.
Projects
The Maritime Archaeological Society offers a number of projects ranging from historical research investigations to complex underwater surveys. There is sure to be a project suitable for everyone’s abilities and interests. Become a member to receive updates on our current projects. You can sign up for free or low cost training, and then participate at whatever level your time and interests allow.
